Queue Studio for Service BusPrivacy Policy
Effective 24 September 2026.
Factodus makes Queue Studio for Service Bus. This policy covers the extension, this website and purchases of Pro. Factodus collects no telemetry, runs no server of its own and does not sell or share personal data.
The extension
What goes to Polar. To check a Pro license the extension sends to Polar (polar.sh), the merchant that sells the keys:
- the license key you entered;
- the VS Code machine identifier (
vscode.env.machineId, an anonymous hash that VS Code generates) and a label made of the editor name and the first 8 characters of that identifier.
This happens when you enter a key, about every three days while a key is active, and when you remove the key from a machine. Without a key, nothing is sent.
What stays on your machine. Connection strings and the license key are kept in VS Code's secret storage; the list of connections, the trial start date and the license state in VS Code's global state. Messages, entity names and credentials travel only between VS Code and the Service Bus namespaces and emulators you configure; Microsoft Entra ID sign-in goes through the Azure credential you choose.
Purchases
Polar handles checkout and payment as merchant of record, under the Polar privacy policy. Factodus never sees card details. From Polar, Factodus receives your name, email address, billing country, the plan and order history, and the license key's activations. They are used only to provide the license, answer support requests, and issue refunds and invoices, and are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
This website
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies and has no analytics, trackers or third-party scripts. GitHub may log visitors' IP addresses to operate and secure the service, under the GitHub privacy statement. Issues you open in the public issue tracker are public and are processed by GitHub.
If you write to factodus@gmail.com, your message and address are kept to answer you and to keep a record of support and refunds.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, for a correction or for deletion, except what must be kept for tax and accounting, at factodus@gmail.com. If you are in the EU or the UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
A changed policy is published here with a new effective date.
